In addition, the company provides various utility-related services to residents and businesses within its field of expertise. The company’s primary area of operation is Kuusalu Municipality.
Kuusalu Soojus LLC is a municipal utility company wholly owned by Kuusalu Municipality. In 1991, the municipality established the municipal enterprise Sander, which was reorganized into Kuusalu Soojus LLC in 1998.
The company’s equity amounts to EUR 7.1 million, total assets amount to EUR 8.0 million, and sales revenue in 2024 was EUR 1.1 million.
The company owns boiler plants and district heating networks in the small boroughs of Kuusalu and Kolga; sewerage facilities in Kolga, Kiiu, Kuusalu, Valkla, Vihasoo, Uuri, Kolgaküla and Suurpea; and wastewater treatment plants in Kuusalu, Kolga, Valkla, Vihasoo, Uuri, Kolgaküla and Suurpea.
Kuusalu Soojus LLC serves as the water utility provider in the small boroughs of Kuusalu, Kiiu and Kolga, and in the villages of Salmistu, Viinistu, Pärispea, Kaberla, Leesi, Valkla, Pudisoo, Kolgaküla, Vihasoo, Sõitme (Leegiranna) and Suurpea.
By Order No. 219 of the Kuusalu Municipal Government dated 24 July 2025, Kuusalu Soojus LLC was designated as a provider of essential services in the fields of district heating, drinking water supply and sewerage. The company assesses risks related to the continuity of these services. The company’s risk assessment was updated in April 2026, and both the risk assessment and business continuity plan are reviewed and updated as necessary.
